Dr. Cicadoidea Collective

The famous Latin phrase ‘’Memento Mori’’ is one which is meant to remind each and every one of us of our impending Death. To remind us that we, too, must Die. But to what extent can we truly associate with the inevitable? My artefact for this project aims to blur the boundary between Life and Death by displaying the face of a living individual which has been altered to have an uncanny resemblance to them being Dead, thus allowing the specific individual to have a more personal confrontation with Death.
